Opening of Bass weekend is a big deal for us. The fish caught on Opening morning are cleaned by "all hands on deck" so that we can have a great fish fry that evening. You must work to eat!
Then the young people gather around to visit and relax.
It looks like this gang is waiting for a meal. Great bunch of young men who have been coming to the lake for 3 years now (Shippensburg roommates of our grandson, Steven) along with the McGilvery family and Ed.
Getting garbage is a chore we do 3 times a week. Our grand-nephew, Ben, has "graduated" to be able to drive the tractor while he recruits sister, Elgin, to do the hard work. It is always great when they are on the property because they are so much help to us doing lots of work around the property. Thanks guys.
Everett is 5 1/2 years old and he caught this 2 lb 13 oz Bass. Didn't make "The List" but quite an event. He was pretty excited.
If Tanner was a guest in one of our cottages he would have "won" this year for the biggest fish. It weighed over 6 lbs. Tanner and his family used to rent from us but now own a cottage on Newboro Lake. They visit us regularly and have become very close friends.
There is always tons of food.
