Megan wrote: "Just realized today that I will have been coming to Lloyd's Cottages for 18 years this coming December. And of all my childhood memories, most of them take place here. I'm so thankful for all the wonderful people who have been in my life because of this one special place. There is no where else in the world I would have wanted to be to celebrate my High School graduation this past week. Thank you Ed and Dell Lloyd for continuously inviting me back! "
Megan (on right) with her 2 sisters, Jena and Nicole on the bench overlooking Clear Lake.
Ben, Mike, Elgin and Jenni arriving for a party
The "usual suspects," our grandchildren, niece and nephew and some friends. Brian, Michael, Ben, Alaina with Tanner, Ava, Elgin, and Steven
More "regulars," Kiersten, Chayse, Lyndsey, Nicole, Megan, Brian, Dalton, Michael, Jena, Steven.
These kids gather here every summer with their families and have a ball. They have all been together since they were infants
EVERYONE LOVES A GOOD VOLLEYBALL GAME--YOUNG, OLD, OR IN BETWEEN
AND THEN A JUMP IN THE LAKE!!
A FUN DAY IS WHEN THE KIDS GATHER FOR A TIE-DYING SESSION. GREAT FUN AND COMRADERIE!
THEN EVERYONE WEARS THEM TO THE ANNUAL FISH FRY.
WHAT A COLORFUL, HAPPY GROUP
What to do with all this free time?
Gather round the picnic table at the main dock with friends and grab a snack!
Wake board.
Take a boat ride.
Climb a tree.
Play in the "sandbox" . . . . .
. . . .or is it a Tetherball game?
We could play basketball or do some Kayking and floating in our rubber boat.
Snuggle with our cousin after a swim while Grandpa has a little sleep.
Or play "hide and seek" in the tubes!
And then there is time to rest in a lounge chair and read a book!
Sometimes, work happens! Here Ed and grandson, Steven, make some repairs on the main dock.
Hanging on to Tanner is a full time job . . . .especially when he would rather be inspecting the Kubota . . .or striking out on his own.
Michael, with the help of his brother, Steven, delivers his Eagle Scout Project to Lloyd's Cottages. This was the prototype. The other 5 benches went to his high school, Kettle Run in Warrenton, VA.
