Vacation at the lake is a time to rest, sit around and visit with friends, eat a lot of good food and just plain relax.  You can see that is what a lot of our guests enjoy doing whether it is around a camp fire, around the picnic table, or at the beach.
Most of these people only see each other once a year at the lake, while others come here with their whole families (grandparents, children, and grandchildren) and just have a fabulous"bonding" week together.
The Smiths come from Florida, The "Davis" girls come from New Jersey, Virginia and Missouri.
I think this crowd gathered to discuss the fish caught on Opening morning.  They gather at our house each "Opening Day" and come from New York, Virginia, Connecticut, and Maryland.  A great time is had by all.
Doug and Troy grew up together but manage to catch up with each other during their week's  vacation at the lake.
You had better hit that ball Michael.  It looks like our daughter-in-law Terri is trying to warn Nancy and her girls (all the way from Arizona) while Tammy and Christiaan look on.
This group of canoers came from Kingston just to spend a day on the lake.  It was quite a sight to watch them head out for their adventure.
Sometimes work happens!  We have to keep the place well tended.  Here some fellas help put a boat away at the end of the season.
These great ladies helped Ed rebuild the steps into Clear View.
We had lots of wind storms and damaged trees.  Here Chris, David, Steven, Brian, Alaina and Ed help clean up the brush.
John, Ginger, Lee, Annette, and Barb sit on the "non-smoke side."  While Mike, Lynn, Ed and Bob seem to be getting all the smoke
Long time friends, Mata and Gloria, catch up.
We had a real treat this summer when our good friends and neighbors, Doug and Linda Jarvis, shared their excitement with us.  All of our guests were invited to come, see, touch and take pictures of the iconic Stanley Cup!!!!  Doug is a coach for the Boston Bruins who won the cup this year.  The tradition is that the cup travels to the summer home of every player and coach  for them to share with their friends.  It was awesome.
All the kids on our property were there to enjoy the event.  Even most of our family was with us.
We needed some major dock repair and these great guys helped out.
Ed, Greg, Brian and Alaina try to make grass grow in front of The Cedars. A fruitless activity but we keep trying.
